Anyone who wants to get a PEI Driver's Licence, and is a beginner driver (has never held a Driver's Licence before), needs to obtain the PEI Learner's (Beginner's) Licence. In Prince Edward Island, you must follow the three-year Graduated Driver Licensing Program before you will be issued a Class 5 driver’s licence. First you must get your Instruction Driver’s Permit. You must be 16 years of age or older to apply for your Instruction Driver’s Permit (Class 7 licence). To get the Class 7 licence, you'll have to pass a written test. Note: If you are enrolled in a certified driver education program, you will write the Instruction Driver’s Permit test in class and, at the end of the program, your instructor will conduct a road test and certify you for a Class 5 Driver's License. To get the Class 7 licence, you'll have to pass a written test. This learner's practice test set is designed to help you prepare for the "Class 7" (the regular Learner's Licence).
