Anyone who wants to get a PEI Driver's Licence, and is a beginner driver (has never held a Driver's Licence before), needs to obtain the PEI Learner's (Beginner's) Licence. In Prince Edward Island, you must follow the three-year Graduated Driver Licensing Program before you will be issued a Class 5 driver’s licence. First you must get your Instruction Driver’s Permit.
