According to the SAAQ (Societe de l'Assurance Automobile du Québec), you must complete the 4 modules of Phase 1 of the driving course before you obtain a Class 5 Learner's Licence in Quebec. Each module includes a 2-hour theory component given in the classroom and a self-study component. You must also pass the knowledge test given by your driving school covering the material studied. Once that's covered, you may have your file opened and be issued a learner's licence. The learner's licence gives you access to the road network provided you are accompanied by a driving school instructor or an accompanying driver. These practice tests are good for the learner's licence test, driver’s licence test and the senior citizens’ refresher test. The written part of those tests in Quebec is the same.
