Class 7 Learner’s Licence Practice Test 2026

  • Based on official Nunavut 2026 Driver's manual
  • Updated for January 2026
  • Perfect for learner’s permit and full adult driver’s licence
  • Triple-checked for accuracy

Our Class 7 Learner’s Licence Practice Test is designed to help you ace the Nunavut Class 7 Knowledge Test. To obtain a Class 7 learner’s licence in Nunavut, you must be at least 15, present valid government-issued identification, pass a vision screening, pass the knowledge test, and, if under 18, provide written parental or guardian consent. If you fail the exam, a retest fee is required.

The Knowledge Test covers Nunavut’s licensing requirements, vehicle registration and insurance rules, testing regulations, traffic control measures, and right-of-way laws. It is divided into two sections: 1) Safety and Road Rules and 2) Sign Identification.

Vehicles must be registered annually under a plate-to-owner system and carry mandatory liability insurance with at least $200,000 in coverage. Specific regulations can be covered on the knowledge exam, including traffic regulations, the use of seatbelts, and right-of-way rules. Also likely to be covered are vehicle equipment requirements, including functioning brakes, lights, mirrors, windshield wipers, a horn, and a muffler. These are just a few of the items covered in our practice tests and possibly found on the official exam.

Once you receive a Class 7 Learner’s Licence, you may only drive under supervision by a fully licensed driver and are not allowed to drive from midnight to 5 a.m. These restrictions are part of Nunavut’s Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) system, which applies to all new drivers (not just minors).

The Nunavut Knowledge Exam is made up of two sections, each with 20 multiple-choice questions. You must take the exam at a Nunavut Motor Vehicles Office and correctly answer at least 16 out of 20 questions (80%) on each section to pass. Applicants who pass one section and fail the other need only retake the failed section. Examiners may offer an oral version of the knowledge test if needed, and an interpreter can be used with examiner approval.

Our Nunavut Class 7 Learner’s Licence Practice Test is the fourth of five practice quizzes for this jurisdiction. Our practice tests are based on the most recent version of the Driver’s Manual and contain multiple-choice questions. Immediate explanations for all responses are provided.
