NL Road Signs Practice Test

  • Based on official Newfoundland and Labrador 2025 Driver's manual
  • Updated for December 2025
  • Perfect for learner’s permit and full adult driver’s licence
  • Triple-checked for accuracy

Welcome to our Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Road Signs Practice test, an intuitive tool designed to help you learn the most common road signs in the province. You get unlimited attempts and nonstop access to practise as often as your schedule allows. However, we recommend practising daily to achieve significant results. All questions are based on the road signs section of the official Newfoundland and Labrador Road Users Guide. There are multiple answer choices, but only one is correct.

As a beginner, you are most likely to make more mistakes during your first few attempts. Therefore, we give you the opportunity to learn from those mistakes as soon as they occur. One of the most notable features of this practice test is the detailed explanation provided for each question. This feedback will also help you understand the reasoning behind each correct answer. We recommend noting it down in a notebook or notebook app so you can review the material in future practice sessions.

The “Restart test” button in the top-right corner of the page lets you reset your progress and begin a new practice session. Use it to get a fresh start, but remember that the order of the questions will be randomized to provide a fair testing experience. If you encounter an unfamiliar sign, you may benefit from our automated assistant. Initiate a conversation with the AI coach and request a hint that will nudge you in the right direction without revealing the correct answer.

Since it takes several weeks to master the various aspects of driving theory, you should avoid rushing through your learning phase. As a licensed driver, you must be able to recognize every road sign you encounter and immediately follow its indication. This practice test and the official NL Road Users Guide are available 24/7, so you can easily introduce them into your daily study routine. Staying consistent will help you retain information more effectively over time, as your knowledge can only be improved gradually.
